May's Community of Practice - Online Drop In Discussion

Drop in discussion: The Sussex Approach: Strengthening Student Discipline Processes for Sexual Misconduct

Following strong interest at our annual conference, this session will offer a practical insight into an effective and less resource-intensive approach to case management.

The University of Sussex will present their trauma-informed and inquisitorial approach to managing student discipline cases relating to sexual misconduct, with a focus on Level 3 cases. The session will explore panel composition, annual training, pre-panel meetings, approaches to legal representation, and how their model differs from more adversarial processes.
